First time here it was such a wonderful experience! We had the hatchet throwing and ninja set (stars and baterangs). I hit the free dot a few times! And the staff was very friendly and was very welcoming! The vibes were good and you can just tell that they enjoy what they do. That’s how you run a business. It was also pretty cool we saw their real collection of throwing items for shows and that they provide provide props for picture taking ! I would definitely come here again. Thank you for a lovely experience.

My first time throwing axes, ninja stars, spears, trench shovels, and more! This place blew my mind. The staff was amazing, our coach was fantastic, and the venue itself was perfect. Our group of 6 was well taken care of. A decent variety of foods (including vegetarian options) and adult beverages (all of which are in cans but in no way diminish the tastiness. Please go, have fun, have a drink, and support this awesome establishment!

Had an amazing date night! The coach was super friendly, and knowledgeable and helped us tremendously. The food was ok and along the lines of quick bar food quality. We got all the upgrades so we could try out Ninja Stars and throwing knives. We had a total blast! Parking really sucks so come early and be prepared to walk a couple blocks.

We came here on a date night when my son was a year old and the staff was so nice and even offered to hold him. We had such a great experience that when my daughter’s school had a “date night” fund raiser we opted to get a gift card from here. The owner gifted us a 4 person gift card which was incredibly thoughtful. My daughter’s classroom basket got 37 bids and raised the most money! Can’t say enough good things of this establishment.

We had a blast on a guys night out here. Down in Scott's Addition, so parking can be hit or miss, but fairly accessible to everything in the area. Staff was very friendly. They go over how to throw, use the system, and how to play the different games. They have a number of other throwable things than just axes, which is cool. Little bar and can get some bar grub as well. Lot of fun!

We had a great time at Shield & Sheath. We rented a lane with the projected target with the throwing stars add on. That allowed us to play games like tick tack toe and battleship. The owner was very friendly and gave us a nice run down of the rules and how to throw the axes.

Amazing place! I’ve never done this before but my husband and I stopped in after dinner to check it out. SO MUCH FUN! The staff are so kind too. I’m not athletic at all and they were fun and non judgmental and just wanted everyone to have a good time! Plus they brought out throwing stars and spears! It was soooo memorable. Easily a top activity in Richmond. GO!

My bestfriend and I came here on a vacation trip from Florida and we loved it here at shield n sheath. The owner and his daughter were so nice, friendly and helpful. The inside is decorated so beautiful they even have games you can play while you wait your turn the throw a axe. Axe throwing was a nice experience and very fun. We will definitely come back.

We had our team-building event at Shield N Sheath this weekend and had such a great time! The staff was incredibly accommodating and helpful in every way. They took the time to teach us how to throw the axes and were extremely patient with the kids, making sure everyone felt comfortable and had fun. The Taco Bar was more than enough... and absolutely delicious! Our team hasn’t stopped talking about how well everything went. We’re already looking forward to going back!
